We have an amazing, dedicated core group of people who all do this important work on a completely volunteer basis. When we are out in the neighborhood, you may meet Mandy, Rhonda, Sarah, Connie, Jill, and/or Veronica trapping and/ or transporting. De will be at our events with info and handcrafted goodies. Mandy is our founder, social media guru and general behind-the-scenes tech. We have a fantastic board with Heather, Maddie, Veronica, and Briana. Plus an always-growing volunteer base. We all wear a variety of hats and we are always looking for special people who share our vision to be able to help is in a myriad of ways! We want to be an organization where you feel your voice will be heard and each and every one of our thoughtful volunteers matters!
TIPS - TNR of Clark County may be a new kid on the block, but we have been dreaming and working toward this for a great many years. We had a vision, and have worked hard to learn everything we can about trapping, while actively trapping independently, and learning the ropes of actually running a charity. We have spent countless hours building connections between local rescues and TNR organizations, and we have a solid plan of who we are and what we want this organization to become.
Clark County TIPS currently operates almost exclusively in Clark County, Ohio. We may help outside of the county on an emergency basis, and we help train other trappers in the Miami Valley region.
Our mission is to help the COMPLETE issue of cats in Clark County Ohio.
This comes with a multi-faceted approach using: TNR, Foster/ Adoption, Helping Sick/ Injured strays, Helping Colony Feeders with food, providing comfort to our seniors and differently-abled community members, and Educating our community.
Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program focuses on sterilizing cats in the community where it is most sorely needed
Our Foster and Adoption Program gets adoptable animals out of the colonies/ off the streets and into warm, loving homes. We make sure cats and kittens are healthy, up-to-date on all vaccines, have a microchip, and are (obviously hah!) spayed or neutered prior to leaving our care.
Our Community Cat Pantry provides food to colony feeders, a community often comprised of the folks in our community that can least afford to feed so many. We also help individuals on a case-by-case basis as need arises and supplies exist.
Our Community Education Program aims to help members in the community learn how to help themselves while they are waiting for help from us. We help provide traps and training on using traps, transportation, and planning for trap days as well as educate on humane winter shelters, best feeding practices, and basic colony medical care.
Our Compassionate Care Fund helps pay part or all of the bill for cats found outside with illnesses and injuries that require veterinary intervention.
Our Singles for Seniors program aims to place human-friendly cats that need to be the only animal with seniors or differently-abled members of our community that would benefit form a pet but are unable to make the long term commitment of a permanent adoption.
At TIPS, we believe that every life matters—both human and feline. Our mission is to TNR, rescue, rehabilitate, feed, and find loving homes for cats in need, and we understand that this important work is enriched by the diversity of our community. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone - regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, or socioeconomic background - feels welcome and valued as part of our rescue family.
We recognize that the welfare of our cats is directly linked to the diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents of our volunteers, adopters, and supporters. By embracing equity and inclusion, we ensure that every cat in our care receives the love and attention they deserve, while also empowering people from all walks of life to participate in our mission.
Our commitment to equitable practices means that we strive to remove barriers and create opportunities for all individuals to engage with our rescue. Whether through volunteering, adopting, donating, or simply spreading the word, we believe everyone has a role to play in improving the lives of cats and strengthening our community.
We pledge to continuously listen, learn, and grow, working together to create a compassionate environment where the welfare of our cats and the inclusion of our community go hand in hand.
We aim to stay transparent in all aspects of our organization, so you can donate without reservation! Please message if you have any questions at all! Check our our Profile on Guidestar!
