Ohio Pet Fund

You can help us to help animals by purchasing a pet license plate for your vehicle. Proceeds provide spay/neuter funds for needy cats and dogs. Order your plate today for $25 online through the BMV at oplates.com or at your Deputy Registrar's office. At the Deputy Registrar's office, just ask for one of these four plates: "OHIO PETS," "DOG FRIENDLY 1," "CAT FRIENDLY" OR "DOG FRIENDLY2." Alternatively, just visit Oplates.com and choose the option to replace your plate.

The Ohio Pet Fund is a fiscally responsible charitable group with a two-decade history of helping pets and their people In Ohio. In 2025, we have already granted over 99% of the funds received from license plate sales last year for spay-neuter. We are able to operate with low overhead and minimal bureaucracy because we have an all-volunteer board. Our mission is a home for every pet! Help us get there by promoting pet license plates.

At the end of 2025, we have about $250,000 available to fund the 200 applications expected in 2026! Please keep spreading the news about pet license plates while we work on legislative opportunities to garner more support for this effort. We continue to plan for the future of cats, dogs, and people in Ohio.

Over $800,000 was granted for spay-neuter in 2025. Our 990 tax form (available online at candid.org and below) will show a snapshot of accrued end-of-the-year amounts, before over $800,000 in grant disbursements began in February 2025.
